Conversion Rate Optimization For Your Beauty Salon Website

Alright, so what is conversion rate optimization, and why should you care?

Let’s say a potential client, Jane is looking for a new hairstylist, and she searches Google and happens across your salon website.

She visits your website and investigates with the intent of either contacting you by phone or scheduling an appointment online.

Now either two things will happen while she is on your website.

1. Jane gets the Information she is looking for and likes the Information she sees on your site. Your website offers a good user experience and is laid out and designed well. The content told a great story, and the CTA’s (call to actions) led her where you need her to go. This ending in a sale or conversion. Congrats, you have a new customer.

2. The second option is Jane shows up, and the website is slow and laggy, leaving for terrible user experience. There aren’t any direct CTA buttons on the homepage. She doesn’t know where she should be going on the website. There is a menu but hardly any content to tell her who you are as a business and your qualifications. Jane isn’t impressed and happily heads over to your competition’s website. 🙁

Conversion rate optimization is when someone visits your beauty salon website and becomes a lead or customer.

A conversion occurs by Jane clicking on a call to action like a book now button.

You set up to have her fill out an email form, a call to your salon, or scheduling an appointment on the website.

2. Your website should invoke the user to click on the essential buttons to convert them into future customers.

Once they are on your site, you only have a few seconds to make it immediately visible what you are asking them to do.

In most cases, your primary call to action is above the fold of the salon website just before someone scrolls down.

Have the button a different color than your brand colors or any other button on the site.

site.

ENGAGEMENT

3. Creating engagement with your user will keep them on your hair salon website longer and keep them coming back often.

They have exact precise content on the site, as well as buttons that they can interact with.

Video is a great way to boost engagement and is growing in popularity more every day.

Be careful to many videos will slow down your website.

CONVERSION

4. Getting a customer or user to convert is the ultimate goal of a salon website.

Before they leave your beauty salon website, you want them to take action and freely give you an email address for future marketing outreach.

Another conversion would be having them schedule an online appointment with you.

What Are The 2 Types Of Conversions On A Beauty Salon Website?

Macro

A Macro conversion is what we are looking for from our website.

Macro is when a visitor to your website spends money with you by purchasing a product, books an appointment, or buys a gift card.

Micro

Micro conversion means the customer isn’t ready to buy just yet, but you have their interest.

They are warming up to the idea of becoming a salon client; they need a little more information about your brand and the services you offer.

An example of a micro-conversion is when the customer signs up for your email newsletter, reads & subscribes to your blog, or visits multiple pages on your website.

They took action by letting you know they are interested; now you have to continue to market to them and win them over.

Need More Info On Conversion Rate Optimization?

Ok, so the conversion rate goes like this let’s say you had 3000 visitors to a beauty salons website last month and 32 people scheduled online appointments with you, your conversion rate would be 1.07%.

Now let’s say each of those people you converted received a haircut with you at $50.

You would earn $1600 from your beauty salon website.

Not bad! You can play around give it a try with this online conversion calculator.

Let’s try one more using an average ticket for a client converted from the website, shall we?

Website Visitors: (A Month6200

Average Ticket: $165

Applying Conversion Rate Optimization

As a business owner, you can apply the conversion rate to any of your marketing channels.

Let’s say you run Facebook ads or Instagram ads.

Apply the same math as above to how many impressions you have and how many clicked on your promotion and purchased from you.

Marketing isn’t just about having a website or a facebook/Instagram page.

Marketing is having a well-designed website that converts new guest — having a social media ad that draws the potential customer to your website where you can introduce your brand and convert them.

Your beauty salon website and social media are meant to be used together along with a good email marketing strategy.

You can quickly turn that micro customer into macro customer conversion and generate income that will pay for an excellent converting website and even a few social media ads a month.

I like Math. Don’t You?

Let’s break down the marketing math on a new converting website for your beauty salon website.

Website cost: $3000 yeah, this is what an essential website cost. But we don’t want basic so let’s say $5500 to be realistic.

Now let’s go back to our conversion calculator from above.

Let’s say the first month we have

2300 visitors to the salon website

41 new customers convert

$165 per customer

$6765 Total revenue

You have just paid for that beautiful money making website.

Now to be fair, not every website will generate that amount of traffic the first month, but even if you pay for it in 3-4 months, it’s still an excellent investment in your business.

It’s best to consult a professional web design company and ask them to build you a conversion-optimized website.
