Make it as personal as possible but also short and to the point.

You do this daily and will 10-x your reviews in no time.

Also, in your email, marketing adds a link to all the places clients can review you online, along with your social media links.

The Best Way To Deal With Negative Business Reviews Online

It happens to the best of us when someone leaves a not-so-nice review.

It only stings for a moment, but the best thing you can do is not to overreact.

The worst thing you can do is comment in anger.

  • I apologize for the negative review, but keep it short. We all have bad days, but the last thing you want to do is admit to any wrongdoing. Just explain it’s always your priority to give a great experience to all your guests. Ask them to contact you privately so you can make it suitable for them. Doing so lets others who read the post know you acknowledge the negative review.
  • Make it right by offering a gift card for their next visit. It doesn’t matter if you feel you are in the wrong or not; it shows the client you value them.
  • Ask for removal or edit to the review. Yes, the customer can edit the initial review. You want to do what you can to make this happen if possible.

The only other thing you can do is try to bury the review by getting other clients to post 5-star reviews—as many as you can, if possible.
